Name of creator(s): Maryann Urquhart

Administrative history: Born February 5, 1919, Maryann Urquhart was the District Nurse for the parish of Ceres, Fife. Her qualifications include general nursing, fever nursing, and midwifery, and much of her training occurred in Edinburgh. In 1948, Miss Urquhart became the District Nurse for the parish of Ceres, a position she held until 1955 when she was forced to return to her home in Aberdeenshire due to family illness. However, she continued to partake in further qualifications after returning home, gaining experience in a First-Line Management course as well as midwifery certification for training in the administration of Trilene, a popular analgesic used in the 1940s and 1950s which induced a light level of unconsciousness.
