Name of creator(s): Positive Help Administrative history: Positive Help was founded by the Scottish Episcopal Church on January 1st, 1989, and is still active as an independent charitable organisation. The project is based in Edinburgh and aims to support those living with HIV and their families with everyday tasks - such as travel to hospital appointments, gardening, and babysitting. Positive Help also runs trips for children with the help of highly trained volunteers. Archival History: Custody of Helen Mein prior to transfer to LHSA. Immediate Source of Acquisition or Transfer: Donated to LHSA by Helen Mein in 2017.
Scope and Content: Comprises of reports and reviews, leaflets, and newspaper clippings about the activities of Positive Help and issues around HIV and AIDS. Appraisal, Destruction and Scheduling Information: Appraised. Accruals: No further accessions are expected
