Biographical History: The League was established in 1968 to maintain contact between those who had qualified at Simpson Memorial Maternity Pavilion or who had worked there.

These records were originally kept in one folder.  They were given to the Archive by Nina Taylor the immediate ex-President who had kept the papers after the last meeting of the League and the closure of the Simpson Memorial Maternity Pavilion in 2002.

Archival History: The items were held by the League prior to transfer.
Immediate Source of Acquisition or Transfer:  Acc 05/24 - donated by Nina Taylor, ex-President of the Simpson Midwives League.
