UNESCO Certificate awarded to LHSA

In September 2011, LHSA was presented with a certificate to acknowledge the inscription of the Edinburgh and Lothian HIV/AIDS Collections to the UNESCO UK Memory of the World Register.

Brian Smith, Bishop of Edinburgh (left), accepted the certificate on behalf of LHSA in a presentation made by David Dawson, Chairman of the UNESCO UK Memory of the World Working Group (right). The award ceremony took place at the Parliamentary Archives, London and was also attended by Hywel Francis MP, Chair of the All-Party Group on Archives and History (centre back).
