Name of creator(s): National Coal Board Administrative history: The medical cards were created by the National Coal Board Medical Service and were transferred to Lothian Health Services Archive by the Scottish Mining Museum. The cards are for workers at a number of collieries in the Lothians, including Bilston Glen and Monktonhall, but the majority are for Lady Victoria. Although some of the cards are for miners, the majority are for surface workers such as drivers and joiners and include a number of female office and canteen workers.
