Biographical History: Elizabeth Oldroyd trained as a midwife from c1908-1910. She was admitted to the General Nursing Council in 1923. During World War I she served in Queen Alexandra’s Imperial Military Nursing Service Reserve, and after the War she joined the Ministry of Pensions Hospital Scheme, working at their hospital at Chepstow.
