Name of creator(s): Annie Warren Gill (d.1930), nurse
Biographical History: Annie Warren Gill first came to Royal infirmary of Edinburgh as Assistant Superintendent of Nurses in 1894. She went to South Africa in 1900 as Matron of the Edinburgh and East of Scotland South African Hospital, and took up post of Matron of the Royal Berkshire Hospital in 1902. She was Lady Superintendent of Nurses at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh from 1907-1925, and died in March 1930.
